My hobby

My hobby is photography. I really like taking photos and trying new photography's tricks. I enjoy makro photography, but the most I am fond of taking portraits and funny photos with my friends. I also like traveling and I collect pictures from different countries. I started fancy in photography since I watched TV programme about it. It was very interesting and I decided to start doing it. I am very satisfied and hope I will be better in photography.
Here are some my photos:

My hobby
In the future I would like  to be an interior designer. I buy professional newspapers about home and interior design. I always try to find an inspiration and use it in my room. My mum also keen on decoration, so we both try to make our home more in style and beautiful.

My hobby gives me a lot of satisfaction because I can create the space around me. I like buying new furniture and stylish accessories for my home. I discovered that one little thing can change the atmosphere in the flat.

There are many interesting books about art and home design. I read a lot of them and I try to practice the ideas from them. I always decorate a table in the living room for a special time, like Christmas or birthday party.

I think that plants are very important element in decorating art. In my opinion the most elegant flowers are orchids. They make my home smart and flossy. I like watching them because orchids are very colorful and look very noble. Flowers are also very healthy because they make an oxygen, so I can have it in my bedroom. I also like making photos. I put the photos made by me into the frames and hang on the walls of my flat.

I am proud  when my relatives tell me that I did something very well and our home looks better because of my hobby.

Hi,
My name is Olek. I am 16 years old.
My favorite way of spending free time is Judo.
I started training Judo when i was 6. I train every day for 2 hours
moreover  every 4 weeks 9or less) i take part in competitions.
Some people can't believe that i still enjoy this sport.
As far as I am concered  the greatest advantage of Judo
is that i can forget about all problems when i am on mat.
Franly speaking i can't imagine live without this sport.

Playing guitar
My hobby is playing guitar, the best instrument there ever was and will ever be. I’ve been learning that for 3 years now, and I’m not going to stop.
I can play all 3 kinds of guitar. Classic guitar ( the first kind of guitar that has been invented ), acoustic guitar ( similar to classic, but this one is more often being used on the scene, because of it’s great way of resonating ) and electric guitar ( connected to amplifier can be extremely loud, it’s usually being used at the concerts ).
People think that playing guitar is hard, but it’s not, believe me it may not be so easy at the beginning, but after few weeks it’s getting simpler, and simpler.
The only hard thing about playing guitar is learning notes, but thankfully there is something like tabs, which are simple version of notes ( even little baby would get it ).

My hobby

My hobby is fashion, because I always want to know what is trendy. Each month I buy a fashion magazine and  try to regularly check the portals. Of course I'm trying to dress fashionably, but the important thing is that what I like. I adore looking at nice-dressed people on the street, because it is a pleasure for me. For me appearance is very important because it shows your character. In my opinion you do not need to spend a fortune to look good, it will be enough if you use a little bit of imagination. I used to like to design clothes, but for that you have to have a talent. Design belonged to my childhood hobby. Now I'm older and I prefer to do something else.

Mobility to Bulgaria

We started our trip on 28th of April first we went to İstanbul and on 29th of April we went to Dobrich by bus.
Hrisimira met with us at 5,30 am. (Thank you Hrisimira and Sorry for disturbing you too early :))
We went to our hotel and we had some time to rest but we couldn't sleep. We made a trip around Dobrich.
Our headmaster, Adnan SAPAR, loved Dobrich. We went to Bakery Factory and they gave some presents to us:)
We visited a traditional house in Dobrich on Monday. We could taste typical Bulgarian foods and drinks there.
Also we discovered that we had so many common things with Bulgaria - çorba and Aşk olsun, for example

We travelled to Balchik Castle, it was wonderful. our teachers liked Balchik castle but my favourite was Kaliakra. I think Kaliakra is a part of the heaven in the world. The next day we went to  Gymnazium of Ivan Vazov. we liked the folk dances very much. We had a short trip in the school and it was the time of the coordinators meeting. I couldn't understand many things in that meeting and I'm still asking questions - sorry for that. The last day we went to Varna and took a tour in Varna, Aladja Rock Monastery, Beach, and a shopping center.
It was really nice to meet all  partners and we want to thank Bulgarian Collegues and Students for their hospitality.

Mobility to Bulgaria

Our trip to Bulgaria started on Sunday 29th April. When we came to Dobrich, Bulgarian teachers and the students were waiting for us there. At first they showed us a hotel where we stayed, gave us some time to rest and then we made a trip around Dobrich. On Monday we visited traditional house in Dobrudja. We could try typical Bulgarian folk costume, taste typical food and drink and hear typical music there. We were glad to know this culture. Then, full of great food, we travelled to the Castle in Balchik, which consists of the Botanic garden built by Maria Edinburská. Our kind guides told us something about the plants in this garden and some of us made an interview with a young Bulgarian reporter from Comenius project. Finally, we went to archeological reserve of Kaliakra. It was a sunny day, so the view of the sea was amazing. Next day we spent some hours in Gymnazium of Ivan Vazov. There were a lot of teachers and students who came there, although they had a holiday, to perform us typical Bulgarian dance. It was really nice. After that our guides showed us the school, mainly the IT and Physics classes because this school is aimed at Maths and Sciences. Then the school organised coordinators‘ meeting, which was joined by all Comenius partners, and the Bulgarian students prepared presentations for us. On Wednesday we visited Aladja rock monastery, where monks lived in the past and it was created just by nature. We spent a rest of the day on the beach in Varna, where we had lunch and then we were relaxing near the sea. Then our guides took us to a shopping centre to buy some souvenirs for our families or friends and similar things to remind us of our stay in Bulgaria. In the evening we packed our suitcases and on Thursday morning we flew back to Slovakia. We are glad to meet all those great people and see all those beautiful places and we hope that one day we will meet again.

EASTER IN SPAIN (1)

In these photos you can see some of our Comenius Spanish partners, enjoying and living our unusual Holy Week:

This is Rafa Martín. He belongs to a group called “Imperio Romano”. They march in all the processions with a band playing Easter music. It is very colourful and rhythmical. On Good Fridays when Jesus dies, the feathers of their helmets change into black colour as a mourning signal.

In photograph 4 you can see our headmaster Antonio Guerra. His Easter group represents a biblical passage of the Old Testament. In this photo you can see their faces because they are not in the parade, they normally wear a kind of “Mask” with the face of the biblical figures they  represent

Photographs 5,6 and 7 belong to the representation of the 4 Evangelists that is the reason why they carry a book in their arms, it represents the New Testament which was written by them. Antonio Ortega is a member of this group, you can see them in the official parade.

Easter in Slovakia

Slovak people have a lot of customs and traditions. One of the oldest is the „fašiangy“ festival, which is held at the end of February/the beginning of March. People walk down the street dressed in funny costumes, sing and dance to celebrate the end of winter and the coming spring.
The next day Lent starts, the period of forty days from Ash Wednesday to the day before Easter, during which Christians give up food or activities they enjoy. Easter is a Christian festival in Slovakia. People go to church to commemorate Jesus Christ´s crucifixion on Good Friday which is the greatest religious festival of the year.
Easter Monday is a special day in Slovakia. On that day boys go from house to house and splash girls with water and beat them with plaited whips so they will be healthy and strong all the year round. The boys are given coloured eggs as as a reward.

Students who carried out the interview: Wojtek, Maciek, Mikołaj

and our photojournalist- Julia

Students: Good morning! We are the students of School Centre Number 83 in Warsaw.

Our school takes part in Comenius pogramme and since September 2010 we have

been carrying out a project entitled “Young Reporters”. We cooperate with schools

from Spain, the UK, Italy, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Turkey.

This interview is one of our tasks to fulfil. Could we ask a few questions?

Mayor: Yes, of course.

Students: What have you managed to realize during your term of office?

Mayor: The most expensive undertaking is financing schools and kindergartens in our

district. There are 43 institutions in that sector. We maintain them at a high level.

Those institutions are classified high in various rankings. We have managed to realize

a lot of investments like constructing sports fields and sports centres.

We are responsible for maintaining council flats in our district. We have managed to

hold off their decline despite not having enough resources.

We have also managed to modernize Ochota Community Centre, we maintain

40 kilometres of roads and we have formed a day centre for people with mental

problems which is situated in Grójecka Street. We maintain parks and cultural

institutions like libraries. We realize tasks connected with population and cars records.

Students: What way do the local authorities try to improve the quality of life of Ochota

inhabitants?

Mayor: We maintain educational and cultural institutions, parks, for example Szczęśliwice

Park; we help the needy by social aid and benefits.

Students: Are there any plans connected with the park situated opposite the railway and bus

station Dworzec Zachodni?

Mayor: Frankly speaking it hasn’t been decided yet if his area will remain a park.

Students: Is the chestnut trees preservation campaign going to be continued ?

Mayor: That’s central campaign. If it’s going to be continued, we will get involved. In my

opinion that problem doesn’t seem to be so serious any more.

Students: What way do the authorities care about active leisure pursuits and sports passion of

young people?

Mayor: We do our best. Most schools have got modern sports fields which are open after

lessons. There are different programmes, e.g. training programme called

of Ochota?

Mayor: Two or three football tournaments, a tournament of altar boys, two ballroom dance

Ochota inhabitants’ health condition?

Mayor: There are special prophylactic programmes.

Students: What is done to help the children from the poorest families?

Mayor: We come to their aid by maintenance grants, benefits for textbooks, occasional help,

e. g. for Christmas or in the winter.

Students: What investments will be make in Ochota?

Mayor: Sports fields, modernization of Ochota Theatre.

Students: Why is it worth living in Ochota?

Mayor: It’s near the city centre, it’s a quiet and nice district. The nicest parts date back to the

thirties and the fifties. Other parts are getting nicer.

We have good health service, there is an enormous specialist hospital in Banacha

Christmas in Poland

Dear Partners,

Christmas is over but we still admire the cards we received from you.

We all love the magic time of Christmas when we safeguard our tradition in a special way.

One of our students has faithfully rendered the atmosphere of this time in Poland in a short composition.

Why do I like Christmas?

I like Christmas, because this time is special. Christmas days are different from ordinary days. The air in my home smells like a wood because of Christmas Tree. I like moments when I decorate my tree with many colorful lights, glass bells and very old decorations made by me many years ago. Christmas is the time when we are together and we aren’t afraid of singing. Normally I don’t like singing, but when it’s Christmas I sing carols and Christmas songs all the time, so do my family. Our favourite carol is “Silent Night”. When I was a child, I remember, all Christmas Eves I had been waiting for Santa. I was always happy when I found presents. Christmas days are special also because of food. My grandmothers, mother and I prepare food for Christmas supper. We start the supper when the first star appears in the sky. We stand around a Christmas table and share a wafer with the whole family wishing each other Merry Christmas. Then we sit at the table and eat. Our traditional meal is carp, poppy seed cake, borscht with dumplings and dumplings with mushrooms and cabbage. After supper we talk, laugh and watch our presents. These moments are very nice and I like them very much. Days after Christmas Eve (December 25th and 26th) I spend with family and friends. We have big tasty dinner and go out somewhere very often after it.
